The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is an independent statutory authority. The Commission administers the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (formerly the Trade Practices Act 1974) and the Prices Surveillance Act 1983 and has additional responsibilities under other legislation. The Commission has a wide range of publications dealing with its functions and the legislation for which it is responsible.
