Sandra Stowe of Chocolate Bliss of Charlestown owns and operates a small business which makes what some believe to be the stuff of dreams.
Handmade chocolate to be precise, which comes in flavoured rocky road varieties and adorns home made biscuits and truffles, not to forget the specially crafted chocolate products such as champagne and beer bottles.
Sandra, who now has her sights set on the wholesale and food service markets, chalks up most of her success to her experience as a mentoree in the NSW Government’s Women in Business Mentor program.
"After the Women in Business Mentor program I decided to exhibit my chocolates at several food industry events supported by Industry & Investment NSW," said Sandra.
"These included the Hunter and the Central Food and Wine Showcase at Parliament House in June 2009.
"We also exhibited at the Rocks Hunter Showcase in June and July 2009, Regional Flavours Stand at Fine Foods Sydney 2007 and plan to do the same this September," she said.
