Innovation clusters

Innovation Clusters are drivers of innovation through the adoption of technology, modern systems and practices.  Firms learn to innovate using technology and leading-edge management techniques in Innovation Clusters based around the State.

Each meeting or site visit deals with a theme selected by the members.  Management issues covered include strategic planning, best practice, continuous improvement and enterprise resource planning.  Some sessions deal with "soft" technologies, such as e-commerce and lean manufacturing.  "Hard" technologies, such as automation, robotics, manufacturing cells, computer-aided design and computer-integrated manufacturing, are also covered.

Participants learn from each other and are able to tap into the expertise of leading consultants and academics.  They can see technologies and innovations at work during site visits.

These activities are designed to increase the confidence of members to adopt new technologies and innovations to grow their businesses.
