NSW Government Small and Medium Enterprise Participation Plan
For tenders valued at over $4 million, tenderers will need to include a Small and
Medium Enterprise Participation Plan. This plan provides detailed information about the
local small and medium enterprise content, investment of plant and equipment required to
meet the terms of the contract, the number of jobs that would be supported by the contract
and regional economic impact.
This plan forms part of the contractual agreement between the government and the supplier.
Country Industries Preference Scheme
The Country Industries Preference Scheme supports registered small and medium goods
manufacturers in country NSW. It provides price preference margins of 2.5 per cent and
five per cent of the value of goods, depending on the location of the business, where the
manufacturer is the prime contractor tendering to supply goods and related services.
In order to become eligible for this scheme, small and medium manufacturers must register with NSW Trade & Investment.
