Mentoring - metropolitan

The Women in Business Mentoring Program - metropolitan has a six-month agenda that helps female business owners (Mentorees) grow their business by linking them with experienced business people (Mentors) and working through a combination of mentoring, practical business workshops and networking events. The program assists women by improving business skills to successfully manage business growth.

The program is based on a proven approach to cooperative learning between business people.

More than 1,800 women have participated in the Mentoring Program since its inception. Results from past programs show a significant increase in business income, business employment levels and networking opportunities.

Women who join the Mentoring Program come from a diversity of backgrounds, reflecting the multi-faceted character of small business in NSW.

Many women who are Mentorees return later to become mentors. This underlines the commitment to, and success of, the program. Being a mentor can be a rewarding self-development process for experienced business owners who want to share their expertise and knowledge to grow promising businesses.
