The Women in Business Program has feature events designed specifically for women who own and manage small businesses. These events are run during our small business event campaigns such as Microbiz Week or Small September.
The themes for these events are designed to welcome female business owners to connect, to inspire the audience to implement practical strategies or tips to develop their businesses and to share with each other experiences of being women in business.
In March 2011 we ran a Food for Thought event with Maggie Beer and Ronni Kahn to celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day. Over 100 ladies from the food industry attended alongside an expo of indigenous and regional food producers. This event was partnered with the Commonwealth Bank Women in Focus team.
In June 2011 we ran an event in Sydney featuring a panel of 3 successful Mumpreneurs who shared their experiences of juggling family & business growth. The event was facilitated by Julia Bickerstaff, a mother of 4 and practical organisation tips were provided by A Little Elf!
In Small Business September we featured an event to profile 2 NSW female business women who manufacture customised and quality products and are exporting globally to Europe and the USA.
