Over 600 people participated in 25 events marking the sixth NSW Manufacturing Week from 2-6 May.

Hosted by the NSW Office of Trade, Business and Industry, Manufacturing Week is a week-long industry showcase that offers manufacturers large and small access to workshops, seminars, site visits and expert advice.

During the week, 200 people attended four site visits to leading manufacturing firms, including Milperra-based Byron Group, makers of emergency vehicles.

With nearly 300 employees and 160 of them in Milperra, the company has used its western Sydney base to reach the world. The company has sales offices in Malaysia, China and Dubai and an accredited paramedic training academy in Malaysia
