Skillex NSW has been developed to help address current and future skills’ needs. Skillex NSW will be free for the public to attend and will be held over 3 days at Sydney Olympic Park, Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 October 2010.
This innovative event, the largest event of its kind to be held in Sydney’s west, has been designed as a forum to showcase and explore educational and career opportunities around future skills’ needs.
To best engage school students, tertiary students, those in employment, those returning to work and the unemployed alike, the event will incorporate an interactive and informative aspect that will enable visitors to ‘have a go’ at traditional trades but also other skills such as web design, cooking, screen printing, business services, garment production and many others.
Who should exhibit at this event?
Any organisation that is, or shortly will be, impacted by skills shortages and could find value in promoting their industry, encouraging an uptake in their trade-specific skills, find employees, or sign up students for skills-based education and vocational training places.
Industry bodies, employers, education and training providers, and apprenticeship organisations should also participate at Skillex NSW where they can interact with motivated career-minded people.
How will it differ from other careers expos?
Skillex NSW is distinct from other careers expos due to its specific focus on both traditional and non traditional trades, apprenticeships, traineeships, cadetships, jobs and education in skilled areas.
What other opportunities are available?
Naming Rights, Sponsorship and Supporter Investment Opportunities are available to organisations seeking profile at this exclusive event and exposure to thousands of career-minded people.
