2011 Women on Boards Conference Scholarships

Women on Boards in partnership with the NSW Office for Women's Policy is offering scholarships to women resident in NSW to attend the 2011 Women on Boards Conference, Gender Matters, to be held on 27-29 April 2011 in Sydney.

NSW Scholarships

  • Five registrations to the Gender Matters Conference on 27-29 April & Mentoring Dinner on 28 April, provided by Women on Boards.
  • $2,500 to assist with travel and accommodation costs, provided by the NSW Office for Women's Policy

How to Apply

Selection Criteria
All scholarship applicants should meet the following selection criteria.

  • Female resident in NSW
  • Subscriber to Women on Boards
  • Director of not-for-profit, community, small businesses or regionally-based organistions OR with realistic aspirations of being such a director in the near future.

Women who are Indigenous or non English speaking, have a disability, can demonstrate hardship or live in rural Australia will be given priority for the scholarships.

Successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Meet with the Office for Women's Policy during the Conference
  • Provide a written report of their experience and benefits from attending the conference by 30 June 2011.

Selection Process

The scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of an application which should include:

  • A covering letter outlining why they should receive a scholarship and how they would benefit.
  • A completed My Resume from the Woman on Boards website.
  • An estimate of the travel and accommodation costs required to attend the conference.

Applications open on 1 February 2011 and close on 27 February 2011. Successful applicants will be announced in early March 2011.
