Protection of the environment licences are necessary to control the impacts of pollution on the environment in NSW.
The Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, identifies 'scheduled' activities which require a licence.
The NSW Office of Environment & Heritage Guide to Licensing will help you determine whether you require an environment licence and provide other licensing information about:
- how and where to apply for a licence
- how much a licence costs
- what you may need to do, even if you don't need a licence.
