Testing the advertisement

Before an advertisement has been fully created it is important to test its effectiveness before publication/broadcast.

Reconsider the advertisement if it does not satisfy all the following well-tried principles:

  • does it catch the eye and stand out from others?
  • does it generate interest?
  • does it communicate the value of the product/service?
  • does it resonate with the target segment?
  • Is it a call to action (to do something)?

It is important to provide a clear brief to a marketing company or advertising agency when you are placing an advertisement. The more input you can provide to them, the less it will cost you.
