Getting Started in Exports:  Guide and Workshops

The Department of State and Regional Development (DSRD) has developed a Getting Started in Exports guide which is presented in four modules:

  • Export Plan (module 1)
  • Resourcing for Export (module 2)
  • Export Marketing (module 3)
  • Visiting Your Target Market (module 4)

The content of the guide is presented in a series of workshops.

The guide and workshops are intended for smaller-sized businesses which are new to, or in the early stages of, exporting.  This program will help you develop markets over the longer term to maximise export gains.

By using the guide and attending the workshops you will take away:

  • a greater understanding of the requirements for export success;
  • a realistic assessment of whether your firm is "export ready";
  • practical advice to enable you to succeed with export orders;
  • an achievable export market plan for your company.

This program is supported by the Australian Institute of Export.

For further information phone 9338 6958 or email export@business.nsw.gov.au.
