Important Notice
The NSW Department of State and Regional Development’s program of international trade missions and exhibitions offers export-ready NSW companies an effective way to identify new international business opportunities and to acquire the knowledge and connections critical to export success.
Trade missions are both general in nature, catering for a range of products, services and companies, and industry specific.
Industry-specific trade missions generally coincide with major international trade exhibitions to allow participants to visit these events.
In all cases numbers are limited to ensure the highest level of individual service.

International Trade Exhibitions
The Department organises exhibition space at selected international trade exhibitions and provides eligible companies with the opportunity to exhibit on a shared basis.
Eligible NSW businesses with tradeable goods or services and that are export-ready are invited to participate in these events. Acceptance is subject to meeting export readiness criteria for the market and on assessment of the market potential for the goods or services to be promoted.
The Department works with allies and partner organisations located in overseas markets to organise a program of meetings, site visits and other activities designed to meet the needs and objectives of each participant.
As a member of an official NSW Government trade mission, participants often gain access to key decision makers that would be difficult, if not impossible, to access if going alone. A significant benefit is the credibility that companies attain in the market from being part of a NSW Government trade mission.
The Department meets all costs associated with the business matching (trade missions), exhibition space (shared NSW stand) and networking events that form part of the business program. Participants are required to meet their own direct costs including airfares, accommodation, ground transport, meals and personal expenses.
Independent Market Visits
If a particular sector or market of interest is not catered for in this program, or if the timing of a mission or exhibition does not suit, please contact the Department about arranging an individually tailored market visit program.

Testimonials "If it wasn't for the assistance provided by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, we wouldn't be exporting to Japan or have been as successful in the Hong Kong market. The Department's support for an Independent Market Visit created in-roads into both markets that would otherwise not have been possible. The assistance received from the Department has been fantastic!" Jan Nash, Director, Pastilla Nash, who attended an Independent Market Visit to China, Japan and the Republic of Korea, February, 2007 "We have participated in several trade missions over the past eight years, including four times to the UAE. The key contacts we made during these visits arranged by the Department led directly to Flovac's appointment to three major sewage projects in the Middle East." Geoffrey Radinoff, Chairman, Flovac, following participation in the Department's trade mission to Dubai, UAE for "CityScape 2007", December, 2007
