Services Exports

The services sector is the largest part of the global economy and represents the fastest growing sector of world trade.

In New South Wales, services make up 81% of the economy, with services export experiencing an annual average growth rate of 8.1% over the last decade, compared to 6.7% for the export of goods.  Today, NSW services exports make up almost 45% of all Australian services exports.

Exporting is a real possibility for successful service firms.  The Department has produced the Service Exports Toolkit to help service firms with a sound business base to successfully take up international opportunities and expand sales through exporting.
