Indigenous Business Advisory Service

The Department delivers business start-up advice for Aboriginal people wishing to start a small business or who already are operating a business.  The Department’s Aboriginal business staff are located in Sydney, Ballina and Goulburn.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for assistance under this program are:

• at least 50% of the ownership is with Aboriginal persons;  or
• at least 50% of the governing board consists of Aboriginal people;
• the Aboriginal business must have an ABN;
• have been operating a business for two years or more;
• able to provide two years of annual financial reports.
