  • Having a new idea but not knowing how to develop it can be frustrating.

  • Needing information about business requirements and trying to find it quickly can be time consuming.

There is a range of free and low cost advisory services available that are supported by Governments at various levels.  Accountants, solicitors and consultants are also important and should be consulted for statutory advice or professional guidance.

Business Advisory Services

The NSW Government supports organisations around the State to provide free business advisory services to people starting and operating a business.

Eighteen organisations across NSW deliver up-to-date business information through 39 offices to assist you to expand your existing business or to explore new business ideas.

Business advisory services provide assistance, seminars/workshops and networking opportunities for business owners and managers to plan their growth and development.

Community-Based Small Business Assistance

There are other non-profit local groups, such as chambers of commerce and business enterprise centres, which may be willing to help with advice, training, networking and information.

Accountants, lawyers or other specialist providers can offer statutory and advisory services that are important to business management of a small firm.

To find a legal adviser to go www.lawsociety.com.au/Search/Query.aspx (go to advanced search, select suburb/town and the accredited specialist required, eg business law.)
